Our Preschool Philosophy

Self-directed play promotes growth and development in ways that cannot be achieved through the traditional approach of teaching pre-academic skills. Arbutus Grove Children’s Centre is a preschool that provides a fun early learning environment and promotes play-oriented learning programs.

Learning is enhanced by the expertise and collaboration of our preschool educators who provide developmentally appropriate activities that nurture each child’s natural curiosity. Our preschool program recognizes the diversity of our children and seeks to meet the individual needs of each child’s unique development level and learning style.

Our Preschool teaching staff

Our exceptional preschool programs are made possible by the skill, dedication and commitment of our team of educators. Our educators support each other, shares ideas, responsibilities and duties and provide mentorship to new comers. A caring and respectful environment is created where everyone is nurtured and valued as individuals and professionals

All of our teachers are fully certified early childhood educators and have current first aid and C.P.R. training and have completed a criminal record check. Continuing professional development of all our preschool staff is encouraged and supported.
